This is the second lecture of Carbon and its compound. The chapter starts with hydrocarbon and will learn the naming of the compounds with 1 carbon atom, 2 carbon atoms, 3 carbon atoms, 4 carbon atom, 5 carbon atoms, 6 carbon atoms, 7 carbon atom and 8 carbon atoms. Then you will revise saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons. Moving ahead you will get to know alkanes, alkenes and alkynes. Please note down the definitions provided to you they are very very important. After this you will find general formulas for alkanes, alkenes and alkynes. With it you will learn the naming of members of alkanes family i.e., Methane, Ethane, Propane, Butane and Pentane. Then you will do Alkenes where you will learn about Methene, Ethene, Propene, Butene and Pentene and in the same way you will study about Alkynes i.e., Methyne, Ethyne, Propyne, Butyne and Pentyne. At the end of the lecture you will have complete knowledge on how these members are formed, how to name them and what isomers.
